Canada invited 2,000 candidates in CEC-specific Express Entry draw
On September 14, 2021, the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) conducted a new Express Entry draw. In program-specific draw #204, Canada issued 2,000 Invitations to Apply for permanent residence in Canada in the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) Program. The lowest score was 462 points, 59 points more than in the previous CEC draw. The tie-breaking rule for this round was September 11, 2021 at 10:55:43 UTC. In 2021, Canada already issued 108,414 invitations to apply in 34 draws of Express Entry.

Ontario invited 691 candidates in the Masters Graduate and PhD Graduate streams
On September 14, 2021, Ontario Immigration Nominee Program (OINP) issued invitations to apply (ITAs) for the Master’s Graduate and Ph.D. Graduate streams. The province issued 627 ITAs to the eligible candidates under the Master’s Graduate Stream. The minimum score of this round was 35 points, 2 points fewer than in the previous draw. Ontario also invited 64 candidates under the Ph.D. Graduate Stream. The minimum score for this draw was 16, 1 point fewer than in the previous program-specific draw. In 2020, the province has not invited any candidates under these two streams. In 2019, OINP invited only 1,000 candidates of the Master’s Graduate Stream. In total, Ontario invited 1,355 candidates under the Master’s Graduate Stream, and 141 candidates under the Ph.D. Graduate stream in 2021.

Alberta invited 396 candidates and updated the AINP inventory
On September 14, 2021, Alberta published the update of the inventory of the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP). Currently, there are around 950 Alberta Opportunity Stream applications and 250 Expressions of Interest in the Alberta Express Entry pool. In addition, on September 7, 2021, Alberta held a new round in the Alberta Express Entry Stream and issued 500 Notifications of Interest (NOI). The lowest score in this round was 300 points, 1 point fewer than in the previous draw. In 2021, AINP already invited 4,507 Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination in the Alberta Express Entry.

British Columbia issued 464 invitations
On September 14, 2021, British Columbia conducted two draws in the Skills Immigration (SI) and Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC) categories of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP). In the general draw, the province issued 365 invitations.

- Skills Immigration – International Graduate 77
- Skills Immigration – Entry Level and Semi-Skilled 69
- Express Entry British Columbia – Skilled Worker 86
- Express Entry British Columbia – International Graduate 75
The second round of the day targeted only candidates in NOC 0621 – Retail and Wholesale Trade Managers and NOC 0631 – Restaurant and Food Service Managers. BCPNP invited 99 such candidates. Both NOCs have a high number of registrants within the BC PNP Skills Immigration Registration System. The lowest score of those candidates was 105 points, one point fewer compared to the previous draw for these NOCs. In total, British Columbia issued 8,591 ITAs under the BCPNP in 2021.
