Quebec’s immigration minister complained about the long processing times

According to Quebec’s Immigration Minister, Jean Boulet, Ottawa has to improve the processing times for applications, especially for economic immigration applications and study permits for foreign students. Canada’s Immigration Minister Sean Fraser agreed with the complaints of the Minister since Quebec’s processing times for permanent residency applications have been more than two years long – around 27 months, while in other Canadian provinces this time was about six months. According to Canadian Immigration Minister’s tweet, “Canada and Quebec are continuing to work together to move forward on joint priorities.”
