At least five Indian students die every month in Canada

Many students from India arrive in Canada with a heavy burden of loans on their parents without being aware of the challenges they may have in Canada. Despite their best efforts, they often run into financial problems. Mental challenges increase to the extent that it seems easier for them to end their lives. In the GTA alone, about five bodies of Indian students are cremated every month. This year, 156,171 study permits were issued to students from India, which is double the number for last year. Most of the students succeed in fighting the challenges, but a few unfortunate ones can never go back to join their families.
