Canada admitted 655 business immigrants in 2020
Canada continues to attract business people from around the globe. During January-February 2020, Canada granted permanent residence to 655 business immigrants. Among them, 470 were foreign investors who immigrated in the Quebec Immigrant Investor Program (QIIP). 100 business immigrants became permanent residents under the Self-Employed Persons Program (SEPP). Finally, 80 business immigrants were admitted under the Start-Up Visa Program. According to the current figures, less than five business immigrants were granted PR in the Entrepreneur category. Last year, Canada admitted 4,720 business immigrants.
