Saskatchewan’s housing boom signals strong immigration growth potential
Saskatchewan demonstrates strong potential for newcomer integration, as evidenced by its substantial Q1 2025 urban housing development figures, which show a 96.5% increase in housing starts compared to the previous year – the highest growth rate among Canadian provinces. The expansion of housing infrastructure, marked by a 193.3% rise in multiple-unit residential construction, enhances Saskatchewan’s appeal as a settlement destination. This development, coupled with the province’s robust economic performance and GDP reaching $77.9 billion, creates favourable conditions for prospective immigrants seeking housing opportunities.
