Canadian passport ranks higher as a desirable travel document
This year, the Canadian passport has moved from eighth to sixth place in the Henley Passport Index rankings. The passport scored 186 points but has climbed higher rankings than other countries’ passports. The Henley Passport Index compares 199 passports for 227 travel destinations, giving 104 rankings for the top ones. Canada is known for having one of the world’s most powerful passports, offering visa-free access to 185 destinations. The top-ranked passport is from Singapore, with a score of 193.

Newfoundland and Labrador employers are encouraged to register for upcoming virtual immigration fairs
Employers in Newfoundland and Labrador can join free global virtual employment fairs from September 20, 2023, to March 27, 2024. These fairs, hosted by the Department of Immigration, Population Growth and Skills, aim to fill staffing needs with international workers, starting with East and South East Asia and Oceania.
