Canada published a program delivery update for the participants of the International Experience Canada Working Holiday program

On September 2, 2021, the Government of Canada introduced new guidance for the participants of the International Experience Canada (IEC) Working Holiday program who cannot travel due to an expired letter of introduction (LOI). Due to the pandemic, the Government made an exception and extend the period of the LOI for IEC applicants whose initial letters were issued between January 1, 2019, and April 30, 2020. From July 30, 2021, to December 31, 2021, eligible IEC participants are able to request one final 12-month extension.

Saskatchewan invited 41 entrepreneurs in the second invitation round of the Entrepreneur Program

On September 2, 2021, the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) conducted the second invitation round in the Entrepreneur Program in 2021. In this round, SINP invited 41 candidates. The highest Expression of Interest (EOI) score for this round was 125 points. The average score was 115 points. The lowest score was 110, and those applicants were invited to apply only if they scored CLB level of 4 or higher in English or French. The next invitation round has been scheduled for November 4, 2021.

Immigrants in Canada held a protest in Toronto

Immigrants who face immigration processing delays to bring their spouses to Canada held a protest outside the IRCC office in Toronto demanding IRCC to process their applications in a short period of time to join their spouses. Most immigrants were frustrated about not getting a response from IRCC demanding to speed up spousal sponsorship and to prioritize family sponsorship. Many protesters expressed their desire to reunite the families since they were experiencing mental health issues after being were separated from their family members for a long time.

The province of New Brunswick will hold a virtual recruitment mission for those in the hospitality sector, which will be attended by employers from the province. This is a great opportunity to talk with Canadian employers who are looking for specialists and are ready to offer them jobs in the province. Thanks to a job offer, one can immigrate to Canada through the Atlantic Immigration Pilot or the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program.
